As some of you may be aware, a little late to the game I decided to try my hand at playing Skyrim. A game that I have played the opening sequence to a number of times but never managed to get sucked into. That was, until last week. I now feel deeply involved in the story and lore of the game and its world. However something has recently come up that is posing a huge threat to the amount of time I can play Skyrim for…

Skyrim vs Shadow of Mordor. Shadow of Mordor. A fantastic game by many rights, Shadow of Mordor has the open world and leveling systems that I am very fond of, and the fighting style and fluid motion of the Batman: Arkham series (another series I’ve been very fond of). However as I find myself getting more and more easily sucked into the world.

Shadow of Mordor. A fantastic game by many rights, Shadow of Mordor has the open world and leveling systems that I am very fond of, and the fighting style and fluid motion of the Batman: Arkham series (another series I’ve been very fond of).

However as I find myself getting more and more easily sucked into the world of Mordor, I also feel a sort of struggle for power between Mordor and Tamriel (Skyrim’s world).

So? Why is this something of note? Well… When I sit down to play a game, I generally know before hand what I want to play. This makes actually getting into that game a lot easier as I am able to prepare myself for the experience and get my head into character. However with this current struggle between games, I often now sit down unsure as to what game I will be playing. Sometimes spending over half an hour deciding. Sometimes I never get to actually play a game as I’ve spent so long deciding on what I want to play, it consumes all of my free time.

If anyone has any ideas for how I could easiest decide on what to play, without neglecting one game or the other, then please let me know. I’m a huge fan of both and am trying my hardest to find a way of being heartily involved in both worlds.
